Nick Bennett

Chair

Nick joined the community in Bright around 10 years ago, and loves the outdoors environment of our region. With young children, and working from home, Nick knows the value of having great childcare and the wonderful staff who take care of our children, allowing us all to work while they learn. A background in Engineering and Management provides another diverse background to the ACS Board.

 

Dennis o’Keeffe

Vice Chair

Dennis is a result-focused Executive and Consultant with more than 30 years of experience in senior finance, general management, and consulting roles. He is the former Manager Corporate at Alpine Shire Council and was CFO at the City of Port Phillip. Leading teams successfully through change management and rapid growth are key strengths. Organisations that he led and contributed to have experienced significant revenue growth and sustained profitability.
Specialties include staff recruitment and development, integration of acquisitions, implementation of new technology platforms and liaison with regulatory authorities.

Alpine Shire Council Representative

Jenny has lived in Bright with her family since 2011 with one child having graduated from and another a current student at Bright P-12 College.

Jenny enjoys volunteering in our community, gardening and being active in the local outdoor environment.

Jenny is Manager Community Development at Alpine Shire Council and an alumnus of Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program (2023).  This is Jenny’s first Director role and she looks forward to contributing to provision of high quality and accessible child care to families of the Alpine Shire.

Brett Jordan

A resident of Wandiligong, Brett Jordan has been the General Manager of Bright Brewery since March 2022. Prior to this Brett worked as the Manager Facilities Alpine Shire Council for the past seven years and has been on the ACS Board since 2019. Prior to working at Alpine Shire Council, Brett had over 25 years’ experience at Regional and General Manager level within the leisure, entertainment, food & beverage and not-for-profit sectors. Brett’s management experience covers all aspects of sales, marketing, operations, business planning, budgets & reporting, and Company Director responsibilities.

 
 

cathy mcadam

Cathy is a consultant paediatrician employed as Service Director of General and Community Paediatrics at Monash Children’s Hospital.  She is now spending more and more time in Bright where she enjoys cycling, walking and meeting new people. After many years of experience in clinical work, service development and clinical governance, she aims to enhance her community leadership through this Board.  She is an alumnus of Williamson Community Leadership Program(2017) and recently graduated from the AICD Company Directors course(2023).  She is currently the President of the Monash Children’s Hospital School Council and hopes to apply her expertise and governance skills to early education at Alpine Childrens Services.
